With more than 200 artists coming to Neustadt-Glewe this July for the notorious Airbeat One festival, the mighty German event will feature a truly all-star cast, packed with 34 artists from the DJ Mag Top 100, various Grammy winners, and the number #1 DJ in the world… Martin Garrix!
With such a selection of talent in attendance at the event, which this year, will see the festival site converted into a Indian paradise thanks to the 2019 theme of ‘India’, you can grab your tickets from the official Airbeat One website. Though deciding who you want to see, may prove an altogether trickier task! Luckily, here at We Rave You, we’ve complied a short list of the Top 5 acts to check out at this year’s Airbeat One!
MARTIN GARRIX
The design of this year’s mainstage at Airbeat One is still a secret: Will it resemble the famous Taj Mahal in Agra, the Red Fort in Delhi or the huge mosque Jama Masjid? The veil will not drop until the first day of the event. But what we do know is that the world’s number one DJ will be performing on the mainstage! That’s right… EDM superstar Martin Garrix will wow German crowds with his euphoric blend of big-room and progressive-house anthems fresh from his third consecutive year at the summit of the DJ Mag list.
SEBASTIAN INGROSSO
The term ‘legend’ is thrown around relentlessly in modern society, but Swedish star Sebastian Ingrosso is certainly an act deemed worthy of the title. Following on from his collaborative duo project with Axwell between 2014 and 2018, Seb is currently touring the world once more as part of dance music royalty, Swedish House Mafia. Due to these commitments, the Ingrosso solo set is a true rarity, but you’ll be able to catch this special treat next month as the ‘Reload’ creator touches down at Airbeat One.
TCHAMI
Away from the main stage, last year’s Terminal Stage was bursting at the seams. That’s why the area is moving to the ‘biggest circus tent in Europe’ this year. The arena will include highly anticipated performances from a wealth of electronic music’s biggest names, none more so that French future house pioneer Tchami. Having toured alongside fellow ‘Pardon My French‘ member Malaa, the duo have delivered their ‘No Redemption’ concept to stages worldwide, but this time, the Confessions priest is going it solo as he brings his eclectic blend of house and soul to the German stage.
MARTIN SOLVEIG & JAX JONES present EUROPA
What happens when two of the biggest producers of the past half-decade team up? Well we’re about to find out, because ‘EUROPA’ is the brand-new project formed by former Pacha Ibiza resident Martin Solveig, and the UK house maestro, Jax Jones. Blending their rhythmic sounds to craft a wildly exciting new act, Jax and Martin are set to dominate club and festival floors this summer, starting right here at Airbeat One!
ALESSO
If it’s progressive house you’re into, there is no act capable of delivering such a euphoric live experience as Swedish prog-prince Alesso. A truly global superstar, the Swede has amassed over one billion Spotify streams across his jam-packed back-catalogue of releases. Responsible for huge hits such as ‘Heroes’, Calvin Harris collaboration ‘Under Control‘, and his iconic remix of OneRepublic‘s ‘If I Lose Myself’, you can guarantee that not a dry eye will be left in the house – such is the emotion delivered from a live performance by the dynamic DJ.
Acting as Northern Germany’s largest electronic music festival, Airbeat One attracted 180,000 visitors from 50 countries to the airfield in Neustadt-Glewe last year. With the groundbreaking Mainstage designs, the spectacular line-up and the numbers of visitors, tickets for the Airbeat One Festival 2019 are currently available in the pre-sale phase 4. In this, the Full Weekend Pass costs 139.99€ plus fees. The VIP Full Weekend Pass is available from 219.99€ plus fees on www.airbeat-one.de. If you have not secured a camping spot yet, you should hurry, because the main Camping and the VIP Camping are already fully booked. But there are still places at North Camping (49.99€) and Special Camping (from 419.97€).
