David Guetta releases music video for Raye collaboration ‘Stay (Don’t Go Away)’
Just over two weeks ago, French superstar producer David Guetta unleashed his brand new collaboration, a track with British singer-songwriter Raye. Credited as working with other DJs such as Jonas Blue and Jax Jones, the songstress has had experience being the voice of many popular dance music tracks. “Stay (Don’t Go Away)” was an instant hit with fans, surpassing a million views on the official lyric video on YouTube. Following global praise across social media, the pair have now unleashed the official music video.
Roping in director Ethan Lader – who has been noticed by the MTV Video Music and BET Awards and has worked with artists such as Bruno Mars and Wiz Khalifa – this is Guetta’s first time working with Lader, and it’s safe to say true magic was created.
Featuring heavily futuristic themes, the music video is sleek and polished with a gorgeous colour palette of whites with flashes of blues, purples, pinks and greens to give pops of colour. While the focus is on David Guetta and Raye – who is featured singing to the track – there is also a cameo from Parisian dancer Salif Gueye, who recently went viral on social media by dancing to a Michael Jackson song, which even got the attention of The Ellen Show.
