Martin Garrix, Macklemore & Patrick Stump – Summer Days (Tiësto Remix)
Shaping up to be one of the biggest tracks of the summer, Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix has provided us with ‘Summer Days’, a track that has groove at its core. If this weren’t enough for fans of the collaboration between Garrix, Macklemore and Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump, Tiesto has only gone and given it a remix.
Having already reached the No.18 spot on Spotify’s Global Top 50, ‘Summer Days’ is refreshingly diverse, blending genres in true Garrix fashion. Long time mentor and close friend Tiesto has seemingly turned the track into a big room classic, with it’s thumpy bass intro making it perfect for his main stage appearances throughout the summer months.
This progressive feel-good release retains the song’s original vocals from Stump, yet is built on by the platinum-certified DJ using his signature hard-edged synth sounds. Whilst Tiesto will undoubtedly take this mix on the road with him, rumours regarding Garrix’s return to performing have been rife since the DJ injured his ankle back at OMNIA Nightclub in Vegas last month. However, the 23-year-old delighted fans in an Instagram post on Monday, announcing he would be fit and well just in time to kick off his Ushuaïa residency on July 4th. It might be some time until we see Garrix back to his stage-bouncing high energy self but for now, this track will certainly do the job.
