No signs of Swedish House Mafia residency in latest Wynn Vegas announcement

The prestigious group Wynn Las Vegas has officially released their residence line up for this summer. While the variety and quality of the featured artists are undoubtedly high, most people have been surprised for not seeing, as expected, Swedish House Mafia (SHM) as part of the announced residency acts.

Back in January, Wynn announced 2 of the 3 members of Swedish House Mafia as part of their resident artists, rising the hype around the idea of possibly having a recurrent SHM residency throughout the summer at the popular XS Nightclub. After that, the buzz was on and everyone was expecting a move from the organisation to make it official and it did last week. Releasing a mysterious promotional video, Wynn increased the rumours of this possibility. However, disappointment came early, when Wynn announced its line up not showing any of the Swedish supergroup’s members. Instead, generous and prestigious residents top level DJs including Afrojack, Alesso, Galantis, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Dillon Francis, Diplo, Kygo, Major Lazer, Nora en Pure, Salvatore Ganacci, The Chainsmokers and many more were confirmed.

Besides this announcement, in the popular website Reddit, rumours are still going strong and some of them are pretty confident that there’s still hope to catch the legendary trio in Sin City. A Reddit user, who is supposedly connected to one of the nightclub promoters, shared a screenshot of a conversation where the Wynn promoter confirmed that on June 30th, during Steve Angello set at XS, the other SHM members will join him on stage for the trio first club performance in years.

Although this is something that we can’t confirm for sure, it is clear that in case of happening this would be one of the highlights of the year. It seems that we will have to wait a little bit more to have a definite answer tomorrow.
