Rumours circulate over possible Swedish House Mafia cancellations

Home Uncategorized Rumours circulate over possible Swedish House Mafia cancellations

Ultra Music Festival just had another round of their successful event Ultra Korea, but one huge name that was missing from the line-up as it was set to kick off was none other than Swedish House Mafia. The statement on their official Facebook page read:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, SHM are unable to appear at Ultra Korea. They apologize to the fans and hope to perform in Korea soon.”

The news – which has not yet given fans a reason for the cancellation – came after Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso were due to make an appearance together at XS Las Vegas, but Ingrosso was unable to attend. Allegedly Ingrosso never got on his flight from Sweden, and Angello also allegedly never departed from Las Vegas, leaving fans with a lot of questions yet to be answered.

After the news of the cancellation came, more rumours recently surfaced. According to recent reports, Live Nation have signed a new deal that may force Swedish House Mafia to cancel any upcoming festival sets that don’t benefit the company in any way. the trio are currently set to perform at Creamfields, Ultra Europe, Tinderbox, Stavernfestivalen and Frequency Festival across the summer, but it is not clear which of those will be cancelled as of right now, if any at all. All dates have now been removed from the Swedish House Mafia website.

The new deal doesn’t bring all bad news though. According to DJ Mag Germany – who also broke the news of possible cancellations – the EDM powerhouse have apparently signed a contract for a massive stadium tour, although exact details of when are where are yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned for more details as the situation develops.
