Multitalented designer, artist and DJ Virgil Abloh has secured a residency at Wynn Las Vegas’ XS Nightclub. Not only that, the Off-White creator is bringing his brand to the west coast, opening a new boutique in Wynn Plaza next month. Abloh performed a one-off set at the club back in February 2017 and although having returned several times since, this new contract will see the DJ locked in from June 29 to the end of 2019.
The Chicago native is also set to perform alongside South-African house DJ Black Coffee at the club on October 11, re-forming their famous duo ‘White Coffee‘. The Louis Vuitton artistic director is also set to play at the Encore Beach Club on September 13, giving fans many opportunities to catch the DJ in the City of Lights. Speaking on the collaboration with the world-renowned hotel, Wynn Nightlife Managing Partner Alex Cordova stated:
“Pushing the boundaries of where art, fashion and music collide has been a driving force behind our success, where every experience we present to guests first passes a litmus test for originality, we are honoured to be working with such a visionary who appreciates the impact of artistry, and applies it to everything he does.”
The designer’s work is no stranger to the Wynn Plaza, with his multi-media sculpture ‘Arrows and Flower Neon Sign’ erected just metres away from where the Off-White boutique will be situated. “Off-White is an iconic brand that embodies the modernity Wynn guests look for,” said Haim Chera, joint partner in Wynn’s Las Vegas retail. “It is an honor to work with Virgil in a multi-faceted relationship, who we regard as a humble genius fitting perfectly with our vision for Wynn and Wynn Plaza as the true meeting place for fashion, music, and art.”
