Ed Sheeran – Way To Break My Heart (feat. Skrillex)

Anything that Ed Sheeran releases instantly becomes a huge hit and his latest endeavor, ‘No.6 Collaborations Project‘, is no different. Currently dominating the charts across the world with only a few days into it’s release date, the fourth studio album by the English singer/songwriter features a star-studded lineup, with the likes of Justin Bieber, Stormzy and, of course, Skrillex. Something that has been a work in progress for years now, the Skrillex and Ed Sheeran collaboration named ‘Way To Break My Heart’ was finally unleashed to the world with the release of ‘No.6 Collaborations Project’.

Although Ed Sheeran and Skrillex don’t seem to be the most likely musical pairing, Skrillex is a friendly face to the pop industry and has produced for Justin Bieber, Ellie Goulding and Camila Cabello to name just a few out of the extensive list, and can now add Ed to the list of pop stars he’s worked with.

‘Way To Break My Heart‘ is the perfect chance for Skrillex to show off his versatility as a producer and has helped to create utter magic. Starting off light and slow, Ed Sheeran’s captivating vocals transport the listener to a place of utter bliss whilst the Skrillex-produced beat shine through in the chorus. Although this isn’t a heavily dance-oriented track, the beat is unmistakable and his signature style still manages to shine through.
