Gorgon City take us back down “Elizabeth Street”

Treating us to a handful of new releases already this year, Gorgon City has returned with another this week, with the irresistible groove of “Elizabeth Street”.

It’s turning out to be an incredibly successful year for Matt Robson-Scott and Kye Gibbon as they continue to explore the depths of the UK underground scene. Released on their imprint REALM“Elizabeth Street” exceeds expectations, driving us through the twists and turns of dance music history. The track finds its name from a street in Chicago, the undisputed birthplace of House Music.

The English duo has flawlessly encapsulated the exuberance of Chicago, layering smooth synth-lines over an energetic bassline and a crisp selection of drums. Their meticulous approach to the track probably comes more naturally now, after spending a significant amount of time producing and performing over in the American city.

“Elizabeth Street” is a strong addition to the list of other, new, fan favourites “Delicious”, “Lick Shot” and the refreshing collaboration with Kaskade, “Go Slow”. If you happen to be heading to Defected Ibiza, Creamfields or even to their REALM Records Tour later this year, you’ll almost definitely come across a collection of Gorgon City magic. Be sure to check out  “Elizabeth Street” below:
