Australia’s leading future bass artist, ShockOne, recently debuted his first track with The Bloody Beatroots on Monstercat, titled ‘Run‘. This track is infused with a bass-line centered production as well as a hard-rock type sound, which is exactly what one would anticipate from a collaboration with The Bloody Beatroots. ‘Run’ is the lead single from the much anticipated new album from ShockOne, called ‘A Dark Machine’, which is set to be released by Monstercat on August 1st. This track marks one of the first singles from ShockOne since his 2013 album, Universus‘. ShockOne has improved greatly on his production traits since the release of ‘Universus’, with ‘Run’ showing how his skills have grown over time. The drop of this track includes menacing vocal samples with deep bass-lines that build a dystopian sounding atmosphere. In terms of being added to the Monstercat roster, ShockOne stated,

“I couldn’t be happier to join the Monstercat roster. It’s a brand known for pushing boundaries and a label releasing some of the most forward-thinking releases for my genre of music. It really is the perfect home for ‘A Dark Machine’ and excited to have them work this record to every corner of the world alongside my long term home label, Warner Music.”

ShockOne took inspiration for ‘A Dark Machine’ from artists including Giorgio Moroder, Vangelis, and many tracks from old-time films created by John Carpenter. If ‘Run’ proves to be a preview for what the rest of this album will sound like, fans are in for a treat upon the album’s release date.
