Tiësto

Tiësto cries during incredible Tomorrowland 2019 performance

In the eyes of many, he’s the biggest name to ever grace dance music. Whilst others refer to him as ‘the Godfather of EDM’. But one thing that everyone can agree on is that Tiësto is a true legend. Spending the best part of two decades performing to crowds all across the world, and even playing at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, the Dutch producer took to the mainstage of Tomorrowland once more at the weekend, kicking off Weekend 1 in style.

Praised by many for the eclectic nature of his set, Tiësto kicked things off with his huge hit ‘WOW’ before launching into Afrojack‘s fresh whopper ‘It Goes Like’. But there can be no doubt that the highlight of the set came when Tiësto dropped Without Penny’, an edit from fast-rising UK talent P//RTS, who combined Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman’s ‘Penny‘ with Avicii classic ‘Without You’. Tiësto was visibly moved by the tribute to his Swedish friend, who tragically passed away in April 2018, and was seen wiping tears away from his face during the track.

You can catch the full set right here courtesy of the official Tiësto YouTube channel:
