Tomorrowland pay moving tribute to Avicii in mainstage design

Day 1 of Tomorrowland is almost over and has so far been an incredible success, with the world’s biggest artists performing at their very best in front of the largest crowds and for the millions watching from home all over the world. One of the most memorable moments of today, however, comes from the mainstage design of the festival itself, where the organisers have arranged a moving tribute to the late Avicii.

Since Avicii’s passing in 2018, many artists have paid their respects to the Swedish DJ and producer who has been a true inspiration to millions of people across the globe. A posthumous album was also released earlier this year containing the music Avicii was working on before his passing.

This year’s mainstage at Tomorrowland is based around the theme of books, and the tribute comes on the back of one of the giant books which in bright gold lettering reads:

“In loving memory of Tim Bergling”

The word ‘Forever’ is also visible to the left of the tribute on the same book, probably referring to the legacy of timeless music Avicii was able to leave behind thanks to his immense talent in the studio.
