Our dedicated ‘Best of’ playlist on Spotify will do a weekly dive into your favourite artists’ discography to curate a selection of their greatest hits and new tunes. Allowing you to enjoy the best of their catalogue in one place. This week, we focus on one of the biggest pioneers in dance music, Axwell. He is best known for his ability to create instant classics in any genre he attempts, culminating in an extremely successful career which saw him rise to the top of the music industry with his solo project, his duo group Axwell Λ Ingrosso and of course as part of the Swedish House Mafia.

He recently performed a mind-blowing set at the Tomorrowland Freedom Stage, where he masterfully combined his latest music with some of his all-time classics. Axwell has been one of the most influential artists in shaping today’s dance music sound. Since his 1998 release ‘Jazz Player’, which many might not remember, he has constantly been evolving his sound and perfecting his studio technique.

In 2005 he founded his own imprint Axtone, which to this day remains one of the most important labels in the dance music scene and has released countless hits over the years. When Axwell founded the label, he released some of his most iconic tracks on it, including ‘Watch The Sun Rise’, ‘Together’ and ‘Feel The Vibe’, which to this day sound fresh and unique thanks to Axwell’s incredible production style and melodic sense.

More recently, the Swedish DJ and producer has been releasing a variety of different songs on his solo alias. ‘Nobody Else’ was one of the highlights of late 2018 after he premiered it at AMF with Sebastian Ingrosso. He has also returned in 2019 with new music, including a ‘cut’ for Redfield‘s ‘Don’t Worry‘ and a remix for Europa‘s ‘All Day And Night‘.

You can listen to all these amazing tunes and many more via our dedicated ‘Best of: Axwell’ playlist on Spotify below.
