Home Uncategorized Electric Zoo 2019: The acts to keep an eye on

It’s an exciting time for New York as it prepares to play host to Electric Zoo once again. Celebrating its tenth birthday this year, the festival has grown so big that it has managed to successfully host international editions in Mexico City, Tokyo, Shanghai, and São Paulo. Taking place on August 30 – September 1, the theme ‘Evolved’ promises big things throughout the weekend, one of those being the outstanding lineup. With many huge names on the lineup such as Eric Prydz, Dog Blood, and Zedd to name a few, this edition is shaping up to be a mind-blowing spectacle and we thought we would shine some light on some of the smaller artists ready to take Electric Zoo 2019 by storm.

Friday

Whethan – Main stage

With bubbly beats and uplifting vibes in tow, Whethan is starting a revolution. Working with Skrillex when he was only 17 years old and listing people like Flux Pavilion, Louis The Child and Dua Lipa as a few of his collaborators, its no wonder why he’s causing a stir in the music world. Going from strength to strength, he is always working on his next big move and is ready to wow fans constantly. Taking to the main stage, this is a massive career move for Whethan as he finds his name moving further up on festival lineup posters.

Dion Timmer – Hilltop Arena

Excision’s protege has well and truly burst into a spotlight of his own in recent times. With an established sound and a dedicated fanbase, Dion Timmer has quickly become a force to be reckoned with. Ready to take on the Hilltop Arena, his set will be packed with a punch strong enough to leave a lasting impression.

Yultron – Riverside (Brownies & Lemonade)

Bringing new concepts to the music scene all the time, Yultron is a breath of fresh air. With his shows that he affectionately calls ‘Rave Prom’, he continues to spread joy across the scene. With a crazy amount of versatility, he makes anyone question if there’s anything he can’t conquer. Genres aren’t something that can control what Yultron does and that is shown through his amazing sets and mixes.

Saturday

ARMNHMR – Main stage

Duo ARMNHMR, consisting of LA-based Joseph Chung & Joseph Abella, are no strangers to big festivals. Recently conquering EDC Las Vegas with an impressive and enthusiastic crowd, the powerhouse duo has garnered support from some of the biggest and most established artists and if that is anything to go by then their name will keep rising higher on festival lineups quicker than they could’ve ever imagined.

Yotto – Hilltop Arena (Pryda Arena)

Being a staple name on the massive Anjunadeep label whilst also establishing his own label Odd One Out means that Yotto is one busy producer. With massive achievements such as supporting Eric Prydz at Hï Ibiza and creating his own BBC Radio 1 essential mix in 2018, Yotto is a force to be reckoned with.

Dom Dolla – All My Friends

Australian house producer Dom Dolla is making 2019 his year. Named as one of this years rising stars by legend Pete Tong, he is ready to rise to the top and won’t let anything get in his way. Nominated for the 2017 ARIA Best Dance Release Award for ‘Be Randy’, he has proved time and time again why he belongs in the industry.

Sunday

DROELOE – Main Stage

Unique duo DROELOE are often found on San Holo’s imprint Bitbird with their consistently refreshing sounds and on-point branding. With their sets they don’t give the audience time to stop dancing and cheering along as they go from hit to hit and are a true spectacle to be witnessed. Set to be one of the standouts of the weekend, DROELOE are ready to show the Main Stage who’s boss.

Whipped Cream – Hilltop Arena (Nghtmre & Slander present: Gud Vibrations)

Don’t be fooled by her sugary-sweet name as Whipped Cream never holds back on any performance, assaulting the senses with hard-hitting buildups and even harder-hitting drops. The Whipped Cream experience is the true cream of the crop as each set of hers holds something unique and powerful and fills the space around her with electrifying energy.

Eli Brown – All My Friends

Making waves in the house and tech-house world, it is hard to believe that Eli Brown only had his first official release a few years ago. Toolroom Records, Of Unsound Mind, Sola and many more are some places where you can find his string of magical releases. You can find him regularly playing to the hottest clubs and events in places such as Ibiza, Las Vegas, London and many more and now he prepares to take Electric Zoo 2019 by storm.

This is just a few of the amazing acts on the Electric Zoo 2019 roster and we can’t wait to watch it all unfold as the festival kicks off another spectacular year with an incredible lineup.
