Moksi – The Return of House Music

Moksi have been a mainstay in the garage house scene for 3 years. Diego and Samir (Moksi), have re-invented the classic genre, giving it a diverse and energetic nod. Moksi have known eachother since 2006, but got into the producing realm in 2015. After struggling to draw a crowd on top of a food truck at a festival, Sam asked Diego to help him on the mic and this is how their performances together started. Their first track back in 2015, started off as nothing more than a snippet and this track became ‘Getting Higher‘. Even though the track was only a demo, this was enough for them to get noticed by Yellow Claw.

Moksi have performed at festivals worldwide including Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, EDC Orlando and EDC South Korea to name a few. They have had huge hits with ‘The Dopest‘, ‘Open‘, with Yellow Claw, ‘Hippo‘, with Chocolate Puma and ‘Powermove‘, with Hardwell. Their remix catalogue is extensive, having remixed Yellow Claw and Mightyfools’ No Class‘, DJ Snake’s ‘Propaganda‘ and ‘Deep Down Low‘, by Valentino Khan.

To create their new album ‘The Return of House Music‘, Moksi decided to rent a cabin in the woods at the start of 2019 and invited a handful of rappers to collaborate on new tracks that would enhance their sound. The Return of House Music features twelve tracks, each with a different flavour to the genre. From the beginning with their groovy and progessive collaboration with Chace, ‘Doorman‘, to their soulful collaboration with Elayna Boynton ‘Slow Burn‘.

The clubs will be bouncing when Moksi drop ‘You Lose Nothing‘ with Chocolate Puma, ‘Boom Shakalaka‘ with Emy Perez & Digitzz and ‘Spike the Punch‘ with Dusty. Other tracks on the album include ‘Downtown‘, with Ookay, ‘So Fly‘, with Lil Debbie and ‘Find My Light‘, with RAiK.

You can stream ‘The Return of House Music’ below, which is out now on Barong Family, and be on the lookout to see what Moksi drop next as they continue their hot streak.
