Carl Cox releases ‘Opulent Temple’ set from Burning Man

Carl Cox is a legend in the techno scene. He recently played at Burning Man and one of the stages he played at was the Opulent Temple stage. This stage has an annual white night takeover during Burning Man and Carl Cox has brought maximum energy levels to the Arrival stage on the Playa, which turned out to be one of the busiest and most memorable nights of the gathering.

The techno legend absolutely killed his set by playing tracks from artists such as CristophLen FakiEnrico Sangiuliano and wAFF. Each song blended together perfectly and that is why you can call Carl Cox a master of his craft. Surprisingly, the set didn’t feature any Carl Cox tracks, unless one of the ID’s were one of his. This shows how dedicated he is to creating a performance that is perfect for the moment.

Cox spoke with Stoney Roads this year about his opinions on the Playa and why he’s always there:

What is amazing is that everything that you see, touch and feel is someone’s expression. Keeping in mind there isn’t any electricity, or water it is amazing to think that people build the experience and then they leave without a trace. I just find that so refreshing.

I just love that for one week – no watch, no phone, no internet – anything that happens in that week is what you make of it, and that’s the beauty of Burning Man.
