You can find David Guetta on the party island of Ibiza every summer without a doubt. Hosting not one but two residencies this year – BIG at Ushuaïa Beach Club on Monday’s and F*** Me I’m Famous! at Hï on Friday’s – it’s been a non-stop season of incredible set after incredible set. Guetta’s BIG residency at Ushuaïa this year consisted of fantastic lineups including world class DJs such as Jonas Blue, Don Diablo, Alesso, Kungs and a whole heap more (including The Chainsmokers on an exclusive date) and began with a huge opening party on 10 July, with the residency set to unfortunately end on 30 September.
If you can’t catch the residency this year then you’re in luck as David Guetta partnered with Songkick (a website and app designed to make it easy to track your favourite artists) to live stream straight from Ushuaïa to his Facebook page for a special two hour set as the BIG residency enters its final month for 2019. Proving to be a packed out event – which is no different to every event of his -, Guetta took to the stage with thunderous applause from the hyped up crowd and started off strong with an intro edit of his MORTEN and Aloe Blacc track ‘Never Be Alone’. Getting in some classic hits early, ‘Titanium’ was accompanied by the voices of thousands in the crowd singing over the music before it was switched up with a stunning ‘Calling’ (Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso) mashup. It wasn’t just Guetta classics that were thrown into the mix, with tracks like Darude’s ‘Sandstorm’, Alesso’s ‘If I Lose Myself’ and even Black Eyed Peas’ ‘I Gotta Feeling’. Not wanting to leave out popular side project and alias Jack back, the set was injected with the signature Jack Back sound all throughout much to the attendees’ enjoyment.
David Guetta has expertly shown off his fantastic versatility as a DJ with this set, and you can watch it all below and grab tickets to his final Ibiza dates of 2019 here.
