deadmau5 announces NYE show

New Year’s Eve is a day that requires advanced months of planning for a majority of people around the world. Along with all of the celebrations and festivities, New Year’s Eve is also one of the biggest nights for music events all over the world as well. Some of the biggest DJ’s and performers plan some of their biggest events for that night.

Deadmau5 has announced via a post on his Instagram that he will be having a show on New Year’s Eve in San Francisco at the Bill Graham Civic. If you look closely at the flyer, you can also see that it appears that artists Justin Martin, Qrion and Lights will be joining deadmau5 on that night.

On the post, deadmau5 says that Lights will “do her thing and remix set.” deadmau5 and Lights recently released a track named ‘Drama Free’ and have a previous collaboration named ‘Raise Your Weapon.’ It might be a safe assumption that Lights will be joining deadmau5 on stage as this is something she has done in the past.

Deadmau5 is currently on his cubev3 tour and the New Years’ Eve show is part of the tour, so all attendees can expect to experience the cube. He introduced the cube back in Coachella, April 2010. He was already an established DJ and producer, but the addition of the cube added another unique dimension to a deadmau5 live show and only increased the demand to watch him perform. The cube has gone through multiple tweaks since then and has now gotten to the point where it can rotate 45 to 90 degrees and even do a 360 rotation. It is an incredibly unique experience.

Qrion recently released an EP through the Anjunadeep label with Spencer Brown called ‘Sapporo EP.’ Justin Martin, who is a huge part of the DIRTYBIRD crew, will also join deadmau5 on that night. Justin recently remixed RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ‘Lost in My Mind.’

That night will be an unforgettable one. All of the artists playing that night are extremely talented and deadmau5 will almost surely put on a show worth never forgetting. Deadmau5 also said he will be releasing an album soon, so the man under the mask is keeping busy. Get your tickets for the show here.
