After his huge cube v.3 debut during Ultra Music Festival in Miami this year, a successful UK edition at Creamfields last month, and having founded his forum for paid subscribers, deadmau5 doesn’t seem like anything can stop him this year.

With a recent Instagram post, Joel Zimmerman, better known by his stage name deadmau5, hinted that we’re getting closer to a new album release on his label mau5trap. The post is a short clip of the where’s the drop? album artwork which then is followed by a man stumbling over it falling down the cliff and holding on to the edge of the warning sign cracking the whole, cover of the album and leaving it with ‘here’s the drop’. The album was initially released on March 30, 2018, exclusively on Tidal and is an orchestral compilation album which includes re-imagined deadmau5 songs in collaboration with Gregory Reveret.

Amongst other released, deadmau5 so far released 8 studio albums with the first one, titled ‘Get Scraped‘, being released in July 2005 and the most recent one, titled ‘W:/2016Album/’ in December 2016 before releasing ‘where’s the drop?’ last year.

It has certainly been a busy year for Joel performing as deadmau5 and testpilot, his techno alter-ego, on various occasions but this doesn’t seem to stop the man himself from releasing new music. Let’s see what he has in store for us. What do you think he’s trying to tell us? Check out the post below and let us know in the comments.
