Alesso brings the good vibes to AMF 2019

When it was announced that Swedish legend Alesso would be making his return to the coveted Amsterdam Music Festival stage this year, fans were ecstatic. With the last time performing there being years back, his return was long overdue and the welcome couldn’t have been warmer for this huge talent. Bringing everything he had, he had the entire Johan Cruijff ArenA on their feet and moving.

Kicking off proceedings, Alesso chose his 2019 hit ‘TIME’ to be the opener, and it had all the attendees warming up their vocal chords by chanting the catchy lyrics being pumped out by the huge speakers. Moving on, he then went into bangers such as Thomas Gold’s ‘Hangover’ and Robert Miles’ iconic ‘Children’. Not keeping the AMF crowd waiting for long for iconic Alesso anthems, the crowd roared as the beats of the timeless Calvin Harris collaboration ‘Under Control’ filled the room with euphoric joy and pleased every passionate fan across the whole venue. His sets are known for including mind blowing mashups from extremely well loved tracks and this time was no different, in fact it was mashup heaven. Including mashups with the likes of his very own ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’ vs. ‘Tim’ (Arty’s touching tribute track to Avicii), ‘City Of Dreams’ vs. ‘Calling’ and ‘Dreamer’ vs. ‘Cool’ to name just a few, the crowd was in pure progressive heaven for a full hour. Even delving into other genres by playing tracks by artists like Toby GreenArmin van Buuren and Yellow Claw, a diverse setlist was played and appealed to multiple audiences of dance music lovers.

Hitting the nail on the head, Alesso has delivered arguably one of the best sets of his career and what better place to do so than at AMF? To relive the set or watch it for the first time, check out the video below and view the full tracklist here!
