Braintree Town FC has unveiled a mural at their ground in tribute of the late Keith Flint who was a dedicated, life-long fan of his local team.

It’s been just over 7 months since we lost the legendary Prodigy frontman and since then devoted fans have found different ways in which to remember him. The latest tribute has been made by fans at Braintree Town FC, installing a vibrant mural beside the stands that depicts an iconic still of Flint with his pierced tongue out. The image was created by artist David “Gnasher” Nash after a suggestion from club historian Jon Weaver and took roughly seven hours to complete.

Raising funds through its staff and supporters, the project gathered momentum and is now a great way for fans to remember him both as a dedicated football fan and a remarkable musician who pioneered the electronic scene and rave culture.

“We are extremely pleased with Gnasher’s outstanding artwork and look forward to seeing the reaction of supporters.”

Since the mural has been erected, it has received praise and approval from Flint’s fellow band members, commenting “respect guys” on Braintree’s touching Instagram post in which they revealed the artwork.

The Prodigy lost their lead vocalist Keith Flint just over seven months ago (March 4th) and cancelled all future shows in the wake of his passing.
