It looks like 2019 is going to be one of the most important years for the Dutch Icon Tiësto. After walking down the isle this past September marrying his fiancee Annika Backes in Utah, the iconic producer went back to his country to attend another great edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event. Out of the busy weekend he had, his performance at AMF was one for the books.

The living legend arrived at the Johan Cruijff Arena close to midnight to continue with a party that was just getting started. Replacing David Guetta on the decks, Tiësto was ready to rock the stage in what was the previous set before the ceremony of the controversial DJ Mag Top 100 Awards that crowned Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike as the number 1 artists of 2019. In front of an euphoric 40,000 attendant crowd coming from over 100 different countries, the maestro was determined to deliver a powerful performance that for sure made people leave the stadium with unforgettable memories of the night.

Starting the set with a mashup of two of his own songs, the acoustic version of his signature track ‘Adagio For Strings’ and WOW, Tiësto went on playing a wide variety of tracks. It featured music from his Musical Freedom label roster including artists like Dallas K, Retrovision, ESH & Constantin or Sevenn at the time he teased some unreleased tunes a couple of which are credited to be from Toby Green and Deniz Koyu & Magnificence. After making the crowd bounce with some of his most energetic tracks like ‘Show Me’, ‘Boom’, ‘Split’ or ‘Gravepine’, reaching the half-way set, Tiësto plaid the Toby Green remix of his brand new song ‘God is Dancer‘ just before going on with ‘Secrets’ and the melodic Without You x Penny mashup. The final part of the set was simply amazing with tunes like ‘Jackie Chan’ or ‘L’Amour Toujours’ bringing the euphoria to a devoted crowd before closing the set in style the same way it opened; with  ‘Adagio For Strings’ coming through the speakers and provoking goosebumps to the entire arena.
