Years hints at official ‘Bliss’ release
One of the most satisfying things about being an EDM fan is when an ID you’ve waited for a long time (sometimes up to years) finally gets an official release. All the waiting seems worth it when you finally get a high quality, studio recording of the song you’ve played repeat on through set rips. Speaking about anticipated IDs, a Years tune that has been played in Axwell/\Ingrosso sets for a long time (with the first time being in 2015 at Ultra Miami) could finally be releasing within the next year.
When Years himself confirmed that he was behind the track after months of it floating around with little to no information, everyone assumed an official release would soon follow suit. Although former manager of Axwell/\Ingrosso and Swedish House Mafia, Amy Thomson, once stated on Twitter that the track was only made for performances and would never be coming out, it looks like that is all about to change suddenly. With ‘Bliss’ not being played in sets for a while – since Tomorrowland 2018 to be exact – fans began to give up hope but thankfully Years has revived that hope.
Taking to the comments section of one of his posts on Instagram, his first since November of 2018, his comment mentioning ‘Bliss’ seems to allude to a 2020 release, and it might not actually be called ‘Bliss’ after all. Noting that ‘Bliss’ is what the fans call it, he states that he has been waiting as long as the fans have and that ‘2020 is a good year for all of this waiting to come to an end’.
Setting the rumor mill into motion once again, we can only hope that this stunning track will finally see the light of day and we can listen to it on repeat on our favourite streaming services. In the meantime, check out the track mixed with the ‘Under Control‘ acapella by Axwell/\Ingrosso below.
