Best of: Nicky Romero
Our dedicated ‘Best of’ playlist on Spotify takes a weekly dive into your favourite artists’ discography to curate a selection of their greatest hits, forgotten masterpieces and new tunes. Allowing you to enjoy the best of their catalogue in one place. This week, we focus on one of the most influential artists who has shaped the electronic music scene to what it is today: Nicky Romero.
Over the years, Nicky Romero has proven himself as one of the most talented and consistent DJs on the scene. Collaborating with the biggest artists and pushing the boundaries of the electronic sounds whilst being able to keep up with a hectic touring schedule which sees him performing insane shows around the world. He has worked on some of the most iconic progressive house songs, including ‘I Could Be The One’ with Avicii, ‘Like Home’ with NERVO, which recently turned 7 years old and ‘Sparks’ with Mathew Koma and Fedde Le Grand.
He’s also the mastermind behind some of the most club tunes ever released. ‘Toulouse’ was one the tracks which brought electronic dance music to the mainstream and is still destroying dancefloors almost 6 years after its release. His tracks ‘Generation 303’ and ‘Symphonica’ are also some of the most fondly remembered by fans of the electro sound, which he has shown to be still faithful to on his latest collaboration with David Guetta ‘Ring The Alarm’ and his remix for David Guetta’s ‘Stay (Don’t Go Away)’.
Be sure to follow Nicky Romero on his social media to keep up to date with his upcoming releases, news from his imprint Protocol Recordings and show announcements.
