Dannic & Graham Swift – True Champion
For many years now, Dannic has proved he is one of the most talented and ward-working DJs on the scene. Regularly releasing some of the best club music whilst keeping up with a hectic touring schedule and a successful label in Fonk Recordings. His latest release comes in the form of a collaboration with UK producer Graham Swift. ‘True Champion‘ is an absolute club banger which combines massive percussions and energetic lead sounds.
‘True Champion’ has already been supported by the biggest names in the scene including Afrojack, Hardwell and Nicky Romero amongst others whilst also charting highly on Beatport’s Electro House charts. The unique call and response structure Dannic and Graham Swift gave the drop makes the main hook from ‘True Champion’ almost impossible to get out of your head. The strong percussive elements which are used throughout the drops and the break also make the groove of this track irresistible and perfect for use in the club. Speaking about how the collaboration happened Graham Swift said:
It all came together quite quickly. I’d been working on the track for a while and sent it over to Daan as a demo for his thoughts. To my surprise, he asked to collaborate with me on the track! Of course I agreed and True Champion was born!
Graham also spoke about what it’s like to work with one of the best in Dannic:
When you start DJing and producing music you have aims and goals you want to achieve, like you do in any walk of life. Fonk Recordings is a label I’ve aspired to have a track released on since Daan formed it. To have finally done that, and to have it released with Dannic himself, who I’ve looked up to for so long and consistently supported his music over the years, is incredible. But this is only the beginning and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
