Gorgon City & MK – There For You (Arty Remix)

August of 2019 saw the Gorgon City duo team up with American producer Marc Kinchen, who is better known by his stage name MK, for a sumptuous record in the shape of ‘There For You‘. While success was nevertheless scripted for the release, it went on to grab the limelight after ranking at the pole position on the US Billboard Dance Club Charts. A sturdy and typical house track, it enjoyed being the life of most events. Doused in a certain infectiousness that charms with its vocals and playful melody, ‘There For You‘ was all that one could ask from a production in that genre. A re-imagination of the single – as daunting a task as it sounds – could then only be accomplished by the artful mastery of Russian DJ/producer Arty.

With a little over 2 months having passed since the original’s release, Arty’s remix for the Gorgon City & MK track breathes fresh, melodic air into the original. The saccharine crafting that went into legendary singles such as ‘Kate‘ and ‘Zara‘ or the sheer imagination that lets itself run wild in the more recent Alpha 9 tracks, Arty has it all unpacked here. Building on top of the infectious vocals from the original, the Russian producer lays down the foundation with steadily progressive beat-work and a melody that entices through and through. As the vocals usher us toward the ‘drop’, the entire melodic ascent blossoms like a flat punch of melody – an Arty special, as always. Already supported by the likes of Hardwell and Lucas & Steve, this Arty rendition of Gorgon City and MK’s ‘There For You’ is bound to stand out among this year’s top releases.
