RL Grime drops eighth annual Halloween Mix

Halloween is always a fun time for the music industry. Whether DJs are dressing up in fun costumes or throwing Halloween themed gigs, everyone gets into the spirit but there is one particular artist who has turned the spooky holiday into his own tradition. Los Angeles based producer RL Grime (real name Henry Steinway) has been celebrating in his own way by dropping a Halloween Mix for eight years running now. Something that his fans look forward to every year, this is one of the biggest traditions in the music industry and he never drops the ball on his mixes.

2019’s season marks the eighth time Henry has created the soundtrack to the electronic music world’s Halloween and it won’t be the last. Proving to be one of his most popular yet, the mix premiered on SoundCloud and Apple Music’s exclusive show Beats 1 at night time and created the perfect setting for the Halloween night. To begin with, the tune ‘I Got 5 On It (Tethered Mix From Us)’ created a scary setting whilst a lighthearted Guy Fieri voice over introduced the mix (and that wasn’t the only special guest RL Grime had, with legendary Goosebumps author R. L. Stine also making an appearance). Then going into an ID, the trap and hip-hop vibes were out in full force in the mix of a bunch of new IDs with one of them being from Grime himself. The mix has a diverse range of artists featuring the likes of Gesaffelstein, DROELOE, Kanye West and more over an hour.
