The Electronic Grammy Nominees Are Announced

The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards will take place on Monday 27 January 2020. With a huge 84 categories, it is the biggest televised celebration of music and continues to be as relevant as ever with each passing year. As EDM continues to grow as a genre and hit the mainstream even more (through pop collaborations, soundtracks to films and advertisements and more), the Grammy’s recognised this back in 2005 when the category of ‘Best Electronic/Dance Album’ (now known as ‘Best Dance/Electronic Album’) was introduced. The ‘Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical’ and ‘Best Dance Recording’ categories were both introduced earlier, back in 1998 and since then all three categories have become core staples.
