British DJ and producer Adam George Dyment, better known by his stage name Duke Dumont, has today announced via his social media channels that he will need to cancel all remaining shows for the rest of the year due to health reasons.

Andrew underwent an operation during the week and was all set to perform his last couple of shows up until the end of this year, however, his doctor advised that he for health reasons, he should not continue touring until completely recovered. This results in the necessity to cancel his shows planned for Bali, Dubai, and Ireland. Ticket holders should contact the respective ticket outlets to request a refund for their purchase.

It is heartbreaking for a lot of artists when they need to cancel a show as there’s a lot of preparation for these combined with some inevitable disappointment of fans. Physical and mental health has been a big topic in the music industry ever since Avicii has, unfortunately, left us last year and a lot of DJ’s we’re speaking out on the pressure within the industry and the jet-set life taking their toll on them. Health reasons, regardless of mental or physical, should always be a priority for artists and if they’re not well enough to perform, fans should understand and be supportive of the artists. Frustration on their side does not benefit them or the artist and there’s certainly more shows to come in the future.

We are wishing Duke Dumont all the best for his recovery and we hope to see many more gigs in the future. See the full announcement by his social media and management team below for further details.
