Laidback Luke brings emotional vibes to Avicii Tribute Concert

Everyone knows that Laidback Luke and Tim Bergling were good friends and maintained that friendship through the years as they both grew as artists. Catching each other on the same lineups and at the same shows, Luke got to see Tim as a person and was concerned for his health and wellbeing even way back in 2015, and applauded his decision to retire after 2016. Avicii’s family even reached out to Laidback Luke asking him personally to create a remix of ‘S.O.S‘ , stating that it was what Tim wanted. With all this said, it made a lot of sense for him to be present during the Avicii Tribute Concert this weekend.

Laidback Luke’s set could be described as emotional and extremely fitting for the vibe of the concert itself. The setlist was full of a majority of progressive house essentials from artists like Alesso and Swedish House Mafia – all of whom were good friends with Avicii too. Of course though, the main star was Avicii and his music played the main role in this setlist with well over half of the tracks belonging to him. There was no dry eye in the Friends Arena when ‘Fade Into Darkness’ and ‘Waiting For Love’ were played out, and he struck the perfect emotional balance.
