Nicky Romero pays tribute to Avicii at Avicii Tribute Concert

We all know that Avicii and Nicky Romero were great friends. Their collaborative track ‘I Could Be The One’ is a timeless classic (and will remain that way) and their talents blended extremely well together in a truly unique way. Nicky was one of the people to play out the now released ‘Heaven’ to crowds in his set after Avicii died as a way to honor him, and also revealed that he has two folders full of Avicii tracks that he is supposed to work on but it doesn’t feel morally right to him not knowing if he wants it to be put out to the world. It wasn’t a surprise that when the full artist lineup for the tribute concert was revealed, Nicky Romero was on there and everyone knew he would do his friend justice whilst also bringing the energy.

His set was full of bangers such as ‘Here We Go (Hey Boy, Hey Girl)’ and ‘Under Control’ and he brought the energetic and uplifting vibes – much like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike did in their set – to put a smile on the crowds faces. A few sneaky ID’s were even played out to the audience, and the hype levels were high as the crowd enjoyed every second of it.
