Tomorrowland social media and website goes all black

After posting various memories from this year’s edition, along with the announcement that One World Radio will continue to be live with its app, Tomorrowland just went all black on social media today as well as their website which currently only displays a black screen.

Today around mid-day Tomorrowland simply posted a black square on all of its social media profiles and updated the cover and profile picture to be all black as well, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Notably, the YouTube Channel still kept the Tomorrowland logo as profile picture but received a black banner as well.

When looking at the past years, around this time of the year Tomorrowland would announce the theme and pre-registration for the upcoming edition, which will be Tomorrowland’s 16th year in a row after having a massive 15th-anniversary celebration this year. Theme’s of the past editions have been revealed on the below dates:

The Book of Wisdom – The Return (2019 Theme): December 3rd, 2018
The Story of Planaxis (2018 Theme): October 23rd, 2017
Amicorum Spectaculum (2017 Theme): December 22nd, 2016

Even during this year’s edition, it seems that Tomorrowland was already giving hints about the theme for next year. On this year’s mainstage, which was themed ‘The Book of Wisdom – The Return’ there was a book of which the back was saying ’20’ and ‘Pyramids from Space’, along with some other space-themed books, that makes this now widely assumed to be the theme for next year.

Additionally, when looking into the source code of Tomorrowland’s website, there has been a note added, mentioning that light travels fast than sound and the exact speed of light, which is ‘299 792 458 m/s’.

Some theories say the latitude of ‘The Great Pyramid of Giza’ starts with ‘29.9792° N’, being very close to the actual number of the speed of light. Now, these might all be coincidences and conspiracy theories but could also be an easter egg on the website that is further teasing the theme for next year which would fall in line with the ‘Pyramids from Space’.
