Aairport Festival debuts next weekend in Denmark, introducing a brand new ravers-delight with an impressive line-up and astonishing production.

When it comes to EDM events, we don’t hear much about Scandinavia. But this is just about to change as Denmark opens its gates for a two-day madness, targeting exclusively electronic dance music lovers for the very first time. Day 1 (Friday, 17th January) includes the well-known mainstage DJs, such as R3hab, Salvatore Ganacci, Martin Jensen, TooManyLeftHands, to name a few. But the organizers set the standards even higher for Day 2 (Saturday, 18th January): inviting the Dutch music-event giant, Q-Dance, for a take-over. They are bringing the biggest names of the harder-styles for the crowd and complementing the night with their signature light shows and the highest quality sound system of the industry. Q-dance is responsible for the likes of Qlimax, Defqon 1, Dediqated, Qapital and the list goes on, but they are also well-presented annually at Tomorrowland.

The second day’s line-up includes Ran-D, Sound Rush, Da Tweekaz, Sub Zero Project and many more to represent the more euphoric hardstyle, but with the likes of Evil Activities, they also please the hardcore-lovers.

The host city is Aalborg, one of the biggest cities in Denmark (hence the double-A in Aairport, to honor its origins). The location is only a few-hour drive away from Sweden, Norway and Germany, but Aalborg also has its own airport if attendees arrive from a faraway destination. The festival takes place at the Gigantium, an indoor arena with the capability of hosting 10 000 people/day. The festival’s airport theme follows the party-goers journey from the beginning until the end. At the initial ticket sale, we can choose our ‘boarding pass’ ranging from Economy, Economy Plus, through Business to First Class. The scene is transformed into a giant airport, with terminals where guests are welcomed by stewards and stewardesses, pilots and mechanics. The destination is going to be the exceptional main stage which was designed to create a unique experience for the visitors.

“In short we go all-in on the theme to give our travelers an experience of a lifetime. The cornerstone will be our specially designed 40-meter stage with more than 120m2 LED screen, lasers, pyro, SFX and over 400 lighting installations, that will create a totally unique experience”, says Kresten Thomsen, CEO of Aairport festival

Aairport Festival also provides shuttle buses from the city center of Aalborg, which will be completely free of charge for everyone holding a ‘boarding pass’.

There are still some tickets left, make sure to get yours here, to get away from the gloomy winter days!
