Alesso’s NYE mix welcomes the new decade with style

Home Uncategorized Alesso’s NYE mix welcomes the new decade with style

Alesso has treated his fans once again with a New Year’s Eve mix, this time stepping up the bass to welcome in the new decade. The Swedish DJ and producer has had a big year, with releases spanning pop, such as ‘Sad Song (feat. TINI)’, progressive house, such as ‘PROGRESSO’, and even more of a deep tech house vibe, with his Sumr Camp collaboration ‘In The Middle’, just to name a few.

The Swede, known for his progressive and electro house roots, has not let this contain him. The mix focusses heavily on tech house, which has seen a re-emergence of late, delivering powerful basslines and hypnotic vocal lines. He opens with Jauz and i_o’s collaboration, ‘Truth’, followed by Axwell /\ Ingrosso’s hit ‘More Than You Know’, which had received remix treatment from Marcus Schossow. This theme progresses through the mix, which is sure to please any house enthusiast, or long time Alesso fan, happy to see his sound evolving. He makes sure to include his Sumr Camp collab to the delight of his fans, even mixing in the Spinnin’ Talent Pool track ‘Burn Up Di Fire’ by producer Kitone, which is great to see.

He took to Twitter to announce his mix:

Alesso has certainly been busy this NYE, also releasing a collaboration with Amazon Music in the form of an exclusive NYE playlist, which can be found here. The playlist weaves its way through the new house sound we have come to love from Alesso, whilst still incorporating some of his biggest hits, such as ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’ and ‘I Wanna Know (Alesso & Deniz Koyu Remix) ft. Nico & Vinz’.

After closing the decade off with a huge house mix, he certainly has a big 2020 ahead, with more experimentation into the tech house scene almost certain. The mix can be found here.
