Amazon launches ‘Choose Your Own DJ’

Taking a step in a new direction this new year, Amazon has launched a brand new platform called ‘Choose Your Own DJ’.  Creating an alternative to listening to mixes and live sets via YouTube, Amazon is following a similar blueprint to Spotify’s artist radio, however, with a twist. The playlists featured on Amazon’s ‘Choose Your Own DJ’ are hand-picked by the DJs themselves!

Diplo also gave a quick insight into the tracks featured in his playlist;

“These tracks include some of my favourite releases this year, stuff I’ve been playing out in my sets a ton, a bunch of remixes and a lot of records by friends and artists I love.”

Featuring the likes of The Chainsmokers, Diplo, Fatboy Slim, Alesso, Jax Jones, Lost Frequencies, Marshmello, Charlotte De Witte, Alison Wonderland and many more, the platform has music catered to all tastes, however, there is a catch. The service is only available to Amazon Music Unlimited or Amazon Music HD subscribers. Folks who have a subscription, as well as an Amazon Alexa or Echo in their household, can merely say “Alexa, play [Artist Name] New Year’s Eve playlist” to get the party started! Or, for those who can’t decide, asking Alexa to choose for them, is also an option!
