Burning Man has revealed plans for the Multiverse Man Base structure set to feature at this year’s edition, further adding to the festival’s already-prestigious reputation for their enthralling structures that encapsulate fans every year.

Every year, the beloved tradition of watching the Man burn at Black Rock City, manifesting the festival’s week-long end, proves to be a sight to behold for patrons. This year, artist Kate Greenberg has designed the 2020 edition’s burning man – placed on top of a spectacularly designed pavilion, with a strong cathedral influence.

Explaining her inspiration behind the structure, Greenberg cites the five bubble universes as one of the underlying factors:

“As a concept for the 2020 Man Pavilion, this wood structure represents five bubble universes held in suspended animation at the center of the Burning Man Multiverse. Four entry portals form connections like cosmic wormholes, and reveal the interstitial Space that is holding all possible futures and realities in quantum constellation. The fifth cardinal direction connects to the Man. Through this portal, a mirrored man reaches down. Looking up, you are mirrored back.”

Of 10 final submission, Greenberg’s Multiverse Man Base structure ultimately took the chocolates. While more information surrounding Burning Man is yet to be disclosed check out the Multiverse Man Base structure below!
