San Holo – Honest (ft. Broods)
Sander van Dijck – aka San Holo – is one of the people that has had the biggest hand in changing up the electronic scene as we see it in recent years. Introducing guitars more frequently into his music (with ‘album1’ among other releases) and his live shows, his ‘post-edm’ take on electronic music has been refreshing to see, and he’s a perfect example of an artist with a unique and clear artistic vision. It’s this same vision that has gained him massive achievements such as hosting his own headlining show at the iconic Red Rocks and playing to thousands at the main stages of festivals such as EDC and Tomorrowland. Ready to dominate 2020 with lots of exciting things ahead, he has teamed up with music duo Broods (consisting of vocalist Georgia Josiena Nott and producer Caleb Allan Joseph Nott) to release his first single of the year, ‘Honest’.
‘Honest’ features the vocal talents of Georgia, whilst San does what he does best and injects his signature sound to carry the track to new levels. There’s an incredible amount of emotion stitched into the fibres of this track, and it’s one of his rawest and most vulnerable productions to date. With the meaningful lyrics striking a chord in the listeners heart, the drop features some of the most audibly stunning synth arrangements in an electronic track and we wouldn’t blame anyone for shedding a few tears to it.
‘Honest’ has been three years in the making, and it couldn’t have landed at a better time. Out now on San Holo-owned imprint Bitbird, you can stream the beautiful track below and view the official music video on his YouTube channel by clicking here.
