Steve Aoki is never one to shy away from collaborations and has gotten together with Colombian pop star Maluma to release a reggaeton track called ‘Maldad.’ The track was released on January 17th on Ultra Records Label and has already seems to be rocking in countries everywhere.

Steve Aoki is known to push the boundaries of music production and try to create something special. This track was something that Aoki and Maluma put a lot of time into. “We messaged back and forth with ideas for a couple of years,” Aoki tells Billboard in an interview. “We wanted to spend time on it so that it’s phenomenal and a hit in both of our genres. That takes time. You don’t rush a great concept or idea.” It appears that all of the patience has paid off since the track is doing very well with over a million views on YouTube.

Aoki isn’t unfamiliar with music production in the reggaeton genre. Aoki has remixed J Balvin’s banger, ‘Mi Gente,’ and released ‘Jaleo‘ with Nicky Jam.

This release comes not long before Steve Aoki begins his Neon Future IV: The Color of Noise Tour which kicks off on March 5th in Toronto. Aoki will be joined by other artists such as Deorro and Timmy Trumpet while on tour.

The energetic track has the vibe to get a party jumping. Throughout the track you can hear the emphasis put on the flute. The music video was shot in New York City and features both artists in seemingly different worlds. Check out the music video and give the track a listen below. Let us know what you think.
