It seems the wait is over for new Pendulum Trinity music as they have debuted a new track in full in Australia this week for the first time in 10 years.

“Nothing For Free”, as the track is rumoured to be named, was unleashed in Perth on Thursday on some unsuspecting drum and bass fans. Having formed the group in the same city there seemed to be no place better for them to trial new music, using Perth as a starting point to unravel the rest of their Pendulum Trinity project. At long last we have been given an insight into how the album might sound with the only other hint a short Instagram clip from Rob Swire a short while ago. Some fans have suggested that there may even have been hints at the release of this track for a few years now, with some recognising the vocals in the build-up to a drop in a Knife Party DJ set back at EDC Japan in 2017. Regardless, this appears to be the first time we have heard “Nothing For Free” in its natural state.

As they announced in 2019, the original trio of Gareth McGrillen, El Hornet and, of course, Rob Swire, will head around the world with their new show concept and music. They have already revealed shows for the rest of 2020, with performances scheduled at Ultra Europe and Creamfields later this year.

If you are wondering what the new Pendulum material might sound like, take a sneak peak for yourselves below with a clip from their performance last week in Australia!
