Purple Disco Machine releases his latest feel good single ‘In My Arms’

After major releases in 2019 such as a remix of Roberto Surace’s Joysand Monolink’s ‘Take Me Home‘, plus huge success on his single ‘Emotion’, German disco producer Purple Disco Machine is back with his new single In My Arms. Signed by the Australian label Club Sweat records, PDM follows up a massive 2019 that includedoutstanding performances at Tomorrowland and Defected London Festival. This is his first release in 2020, and he kicks the year off in style

In My Arms‘ has samples from another track named ‘Year of the Cat by Scottish composer Al Stewart released back in 1976. This is a great feature of PDM, who often utilises strong classical elements through his tracks. In an earlier interview, Tino Piontek aka Purple Disco Machine said that working in his hometown at the record store and as a club resident allowed him to get to know several songs. As a result, his knowledge in other musical genres, mainly from the 70s and 80s, enables him to sample great songs from the past so that new generations can get to know these tracks in a fresh format.

The reactions regarding the Purple Disco Machine single are massive, with early support from Pete Tong and Danny Howard. ‘In My Arms‘ also scooped ‘Hottest Record’ on BBC Radio 1 last week from Annie Mac.
