Bora Bora club to shut after 40 years of parties in Ibiza
Sadly, one of the most legendary clubs in Ibiza, Bora Bora, will be closing its doors permanently after 40 years of activity on the White Island.
Neighbouring iconic venues such as Ushuaïa and HÏ along the Playa d’en Bossa, one of longest-standing clubs in Ibiza, Bora Bora, is currently midway through its final season on the island. It was recently confirmed that the popular party destination will shut up shop on the 15th of October, labelling their last few months in operation ‘The Last Chance to Dance’ and brandishing upcoming residencies from the likes of Nic Fanciulli and The Zoo Project among others.
Bora Bora boasts a long and illustrious history, having been opened all the way back in 1982 and quickly establishing itself a reputation as one of the finest beach clubs in Ibiza, drawing in some of the most high-profile artists around. Hundreds, and maybe even thousands of DJs have taken to its stage across the years, so it is disappointing to see it go.
In a recent social media post, the club announced the unfortunate news but encouraged fans to take to the club for its ultimate season;
“Because as goodbye, we want a big party. It’s the end of many stages and we want to celebrate it in style, just like in the old days, without filters. That’s right, this time it’s true. This is the last chance to come and dance with us.”
While it’s not obvious why it is closing or what the plans are for the space after its closure, one thing is for sure, and that’s that you get down to Bora Bora for one last dance!
