From amassing millions of streams, to performing at some of the biggest venues worldwide, this Italian DJ/Producer has brought heat with each of his productions, whilst his attention to detail, most definitely helps him stand out from all the rest. With this in mind, we couldn’t be any happier to be joined by the man of the moment, as he opens about main inspirations, the evolution of his style of play, graduating with a degree in music design, upcoming releases and so much more.

Hello and thank you for joining us! Could you provide us with an insight on the main inspirations/influences that led to your chosen career pathway in music?

“When I was a kid, growing up, I used to bother my uncle that was practicing his deejay skills. I was fascinated by the turntables and I started to play with his console after a while. I became addicted to that feeling and I tried to improve my craft every day, until that passion became my job.”

Producing the most electrifying of tracks, we would like to know how your signature style of play came to be?

“I became a big fan of Don Diablo and Oliver Heldens Future House tracks and I started to produce music centered on powerful leads and chords. That led to the development of my own sound, playing around Serum and Sylenth VST for a while and experimenting a lot.”

With versatility a key aspect in the dance scene, could you talk us through your ability of blending various genres with ease?

“As you can see from my music release catalogue, in the last 3 or 4 years I started to create different style of music, from my Future House starts. Getting to know and work with different singers and songwriters challenged myself to explore different genres and music production styles. As far as deejaying I always liked to surprise my audience with different genres whenever possible, especially when I play in festivals!”

Graduating with a degree in music design, we would like to know your overview on this endeavour and how it has impacted your career thus far?

“A lot, getting to know the in’s and out’s of “how the sound works” helped me a lot improving my sound and how to reach a certain quality in my tracks.”

Amassing millions of streams for each of your releases, we would like to know how rewarding such recognition can be, as well as the motivation it provides when moving forward?

“It still amazes me, every time I have a new release I’m always curious to check my Spotify for Artist profile and see how the track is going. I remember that when I reached my first million plays on a single track I celebrated with my dearest friends!
Seriously speaking, I appreciate a lot the support from the fans and it’s even better when people write me on Instagram and ask me when the new song will be released, it’s a nice feeling and that drives me to create more and more music every time.”

Performing at some of the biggest venues and festivals worldwide, with Ultra Miami a key event on that list, could you talk us through your preparation(s) before each live performance?

“Before any big festival or venue I’m always a little bit nervous, even if I have more than 15 years of experience playing as a deejay. But after I get on stage and mix the first 2 tracks, I feel in my zone! Of course there’s a lot of preparation involved, preparing new remixes or discovering some hidden gems it’s a must to make a performance that makes you somehow “unique”.”

With festival season now in full flow, we would like to know what the future holds for Alex Pizzuti, always in terms of new music, upcoming collaborations and live performances?

“I have a huge festival already booked, but I can’t talk about it because of NDAs, than I will come back in China, Germany, Croatia and of course in Italy where I live. About the music releases, I have 5 tracks already signed that will come out in the next 6 months, they will be more “dance oriented” and ready to be played in the clubs! I can’t wait to see the feedbacks from fellow deejays and club lovers around the world!”
