Anjunadeep 15 is out now, with 38 tracks by various artists created by James Grant & Jody Wisternoff

Another year has passed, and so another annual Anjunadeep compilation has been published, called “Anjunadeep 15”. The renowned UK label, Anjunadeep, brings out better and better compilations every year, this time, as usual, mixed by label co-founder James Grant and Jody Wisternoff.

It’s almost unbelievable to say this, but the very first compilation of this kind was released 15 years ago, on 16 February 2009. During this time, many talented artists have had the opportunity to put their skills to work through it. Ben Böhmer, Yotto, Dusky, Lane 8, Cubicolor, and the Eli & Fur girls are worth mentioning here just for the sake of respect, but the names could go on for days, as they have certainly been a great inspiration to many up-and-coming artists. Now, on 31 May, the Anjunadeep 15 compilation arrived as the latest in the series. As mentioned in the introduction, this mix has been curated by James Grant and Jody Wisternoff, UK DJ/producer and one-half of the electronic music duo Way Out West. This year, Anjunadeep names such as Luttrell, 16BL, and Jon Gurd have been added to the 15th edition. But among others also PROFF will appear, with 3 tracks on each of the two CDs, such as the Luna Amazonia mixed edition.

However, some interesting tracks are also picked from Anjunabeats, for example, from anamē, ANUQRAM, Kasablanca, and Darren Tate, among others. Interestingly, Kasablanca recently reunited with Lane 8 to produce the track “Remission” in April this year. But also songs from Anjuna’s sub-label Reflections, which follows ambient, chillout, and downtempo, were selected. One to mention is “Mellowness Of The Heart”, by Indian-born British composer Cephas Azariah.

The next Anjunadeep event, Anjunadeep Explorations, will take place on 13 June 2024. The destination will be Dhërmi, Albania, where one can enjoy fantastic deep house beats and a show with many artists.
