Daft Punk reveals additional viewing of Interstella 5555 4K Remaster in Paris
As fans around the world continue to clamor for content new and old from Daft Punk, the robots are slowly giving fans a chance to revisit their iconic animated film. Originally released back in 2003, the 65-minute epic has been restored in 4K and returning to theaters for two limited viewings.
With the interest and passion for Daft Punk staying strong despite the group’s decision to split up in 2021, the return of Interstella 5555 to theaters in an updated 4K Remaster is a strong reminder of the draw they still hold amongst fans. It was previously revealed that the film would air in New York City during the annual Tribeca Film Festival, with a viewing on June 14th. Now the Robots have shared an additional viewing, set to happen in their homeland of France prior to the New York showing.
On June 3rd, fans in Paris will be able to attend a viewing of Interstella 555 at the iconic UGC Normandie Theater before it closes on June 13th. The single viewing will give a chance for fans to see the film at the legendary location and celebrate one of France’s most profound and respected musical entities Daft Punk. While no further public viewings have been revealed, an earlier Record Store Day release of Something About Us (Love Theme From Interstella 5555) has shown that the group is spending 2024 focused on revisiting the film.
Grab tickets now for the June 3rd viewing of Interstella 5555 from the UGC Normandie Theater website.
