Home News Galantis releases fourth studio album ‘Rx’: Listen

Internationally acclaimed dance music powerhouse Galantis has unveiled their fourth studio album, Rx, now available via Big Beat Records. This 14-track collection features the new single “One Cry” featuring Rosa Linn, alongside previously released hits like “Lighter” with David Guetta and 5 Seconds of Summer.

Galantis Album: A Journey of Self-Discovery

Galantis, the genre-bending dance music project of Christian Karlsson (aka Bloodshy), has been celebrated as one of the most innovative acts of the past decade. They have garnered over 7.3 billion cumulative worldwide streams and more than 1.9 billion video views. Along this journey, Karlsson grappled with personal struggles, experiencing a profound transformation a few years ago when he was diagnosed with ADHD. This diagnosis led him on a journey of self-discovery and medical treatment, coinciding with the creation of some of his most thrilling and reflective music. Last week, Karlsson discussed the album’s inspiration on ABC News’ Nightline, reflecting on his 20+ year career and the future of Galantis.

Soul-Baring Work

Rx stands as Karlsson’s most soul-baring work to date, building upon the personal themes he touched on in 2015’s aptly-titled Pharmacy. Karlsson explains, “Pharmacy was when I knew I was neurodivergent and the studio was like a pharmacy for me. I was the patient. Rx is when I found medication. For me, it was key, but of course, everyone walks their own path.”

Having worked on Rx for nearly two years, Karlsson delivers an album filled with adrenaline and emotional catharsis. The album’s centerpiece, “BANG BANG! (My Neurodivergent Anthem),” is a powerful sing-along that openly addresses his diagnosis. Praised by Rolling Stone as “an upbeat festival-ready banger,” the track sets the tone for the album. From “Koala” to the pop banger “Lighter” with David Guetta and 5 Seconds of Summer, Rx is a mind-bending journey for the senses.

As one of dance music’s most dynamic live performers, Galantis has sold out numerous venues worldwide and captivated audiences across the global festival circuit. This year, they will return for their third-annual performance at Brooklyn Mirage for Midsommar on June 22nd and 23rd, amidst high-profile summer festival sets at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and more.
