Kygo announces self-titled album for June 21st release
Ever since Kygo burst onto the electronic music scene a decade ago, his infectious melodies and tropical house productions have made him a mainstay of major festivals and radio stations worldwide. Now the Norwegian DJ and producer is looking to define the next chapter of his career with his latest album.
Earlier this week, Kygo took to social media to celebrate his second album, Golden Hour, and revealed this his fourth album would be arriving soon. Fans didn’t have to wait long as he has now revealed this upcoming album will be available on June 21st and will simply be titled Kygo. While the 3-week notice is still a relatively short rollout for an album, it is more extensive than his prior surprise album drop for Thrill Of The Chase. In his social media post revealing the new album, Kygo states, ‘After 10 years of releasing music, I decided it was time for a self-titled album.’
With no further details available at the moment beyond the release date, the producer has promised to reveal the tracklisting sometime in early June. Fans interested in pre-saving/pre-ordering Kygo can do so today ahead of the release. In a summer already filled with several massive album announcements within the electronic music scene, adding Kygo to the release schedule feels right.
