Serato DJ 3.2.0 Launches As Public Beta

Serato DJ 3.2.0 has been released as a Public Beta. This latest update brings significant changes for users both in regards to aesthetics as well as capabilities. One feature specifcally, offers capabilities never before featured in Serato software.

Serato has become an industry icon since its launch in 1998 from Auckland, New Zealand. Trusted by the likes of Skrillex, Diplo, and countless other world-renowned performers; the software has revolutionized digital DJ technology and become the industry standard for DJs using a laptop.

The 3.2.0 update focuses mainly on effects; delivering an overhaul unlike any other.

The new effects introduced include Stretch, Vast Reverb, Infinity Tone, Spiral Echo, and Infinity Flanger effects. The update will also mark the return of the Rollout effect previously seen in Serato Scratch Live. This updated effects section will come to Serato DJ Pro and Serato DJ Pro Lite.

In addition to the new parameters and improved integration, the update’s most remarkable feature is arguably the new Custom Effects section. Users will be able to design custom presets and save them, giving their future sets their own signature sound.

In addition to this effects overhaul, Serato DJ 3.2.0 carries forward an improved user interface with intuitive display modes. The effects section has also been redesigned featuring four effects banks. This overhaul will allow users to achieve creative performances previous limitations would have constrained.

Serato DJ 3.2.0 will also support mixers and controllers with built-in native effects via “Channel FX“. This will allow users to assign the hardware effects to a filter control parameter. It is important to note that this feature will be made available to Serato Play users as well.
