Allison Kane lit Instagram ablaze when a lyric sheet of her latest release was shared with her five-million Instagram followers, it appears a lyrical Easter Egg was planted for her fans. The entire lyric sheet was lowercase except for six letters – spelling out CHANCE.

The post sent fans into a frenzy, amassing over a half million likes and thousands of comments on Instagram, as this is the first time Allison has shared details this way.

Although this is not the first time she has shared the backstory of her songs, this is however the first time she has name-dropped the subject of her lyrics. This begs the question – Where does the line of being honest with her fans end and being messy begin?

Historically, fans feel more deeply connected to a song when connecting to the backstory, such as Britney Spears’ Everytimeand Taylor Swift’s All Too Well . Although some artists such as Olivia Rodrigo do not share their stories behind writing a song

Allison Kane appears to lean towards sharing the stories of her songs to her nearly two-million TikTok fans , catapulting her single “Next Life” to the Spotify Top 20 after sharing a video of the origin story , with the official music video racking up over a half-million views since its’ release, and thousands of fans creating videos to the song.

With her single “When She Loves Again (Ballad Version)” earning her first appearance on several of Spotify’s top editorial playlists, she appears to have no signs of slowing down.
