Anjunadeep announces new imprint Explorations

Anjunadeep has been a staple in the deep house scene for 20 years. Now, the label has announced that they will be bringing their Explorations project to new heights, establishing Explorations as a new imprint for the label.

Anjunadeep is a label created by Above & Beyond to release House music to fans from new avenues and unrecognized artists. The label, focused on Deep House, is a sister initiative to the Anjunabeats label and their Group Therapy radio show. Now, a massive project under the label banner branches off into its own identity with the founding of Anjunadeep Explorations.

The new imprint is a spin-off of the Explorations EPs that have been bringing new artists to light since 25 renditions between 2016 and 2023 as of this article’s writing. The series of EPs have graced fans with the music stylings of Deep House main-stays like Ben Böhmer, Spencer Brown, Tinlicker, and Luttrel to name just a few.

Anjunadeep Co-founder James Grant had this to say on the creation of the new imprint:

‘The Explorations EP series has been such an important breeding ground for new Anjunadeep talent over the past eight years. Over 25 EPs it has given us a platform to introduce acts like Ben Böhmer, Marsh, Luttrell, and many more who have gone on to become integral members of our label family. With the series now evolving into a dedicated label, I’m excited to keep uncovering new talent and welcoming the future stars of Anjunadeep.’

Anjunadeep Label Director Dom Donnelly also gave fans insight into the mission of the new imprint and what it seeks to accomplish as a newly branched Anjunadeep entity;

‘Our new Anjunadeep Explorations label is an evolution of the much-loved EP series. Each week, we’ll present music from the next generation of Anjunadeep artists, continue developing the sound of the label, and throw in the odd curveball. We’ve got some amazing music in the pipeline from almost 20 artists, and can’t wait to start sharing it.’

With such a bold statement coming from the higher-ups at Anjunadeep, fans can expect to be bombarded with new music from old favorites and budding artists alike on a weekly basis that is sure to keep all Anjunadeep fans pouring over all sorts of Deep House tracks for a long while to come.

The label has already announced its first body of work that will be released. A limited run of 12″ label samplers comprised of 6 tracks from Explorations’ signed artists Chris Luno and Marley Carroll. The sampler will be exclusively released on vinyl to begin, but will later be released digitally for each individual track at a later date.
