Free Music Softwares Audacity & Muse Hub Receive Major Updates
Audacity gets a facelift while Muse Hub transforms into audio wonderland with third-party integrations.
Audacity, the beloved free audio editing software, has received a significant update, breathing new life into this popular tool. Version 3.6 brings a fresh face to the familiar interface, making it more user-friendly and modern.
The most noticeable change is the visual refresh, giving Audacity a sleek new design that’s easier on the eyes and more intuitive to navigate. This update aims to make the software more accessible to beginners while maintaining its powerful functionality for experienced users. Another interesting addition is the new master channel. This feature allows users to apply effects and adjustments to their entire project, streamlining the production process and giving greater control over the final sound.
Audacity has also introduced two essential real-time effects: a Compressor and a Limiter. These professional-grade tools help users manage dynamic range, resulting in more polished and balanced audio. The Compressor evens out volume levels, while the Limiter prevents distortion by capping the loudest parts of a track.
The owners of Audacity also have another free product, the Muse Hub which also received significant updates. Muse Hub, a free desktop app, offers a variety of audio tools created by Muse Group to people who use software like Audacity and MuseScore Studio. In this update, Muse Hub has joined forces with a select group of innovative software makers. These new partners include well-known names like Solid State Logic and up-and-coming companies such as Baby Audio, ACE Studio, and WavTool. This collaboration has turned Muse Hub into a specialized marketplace for audio products and a starting point for creative projects.
Both Muse Hub and Audacity are free to download. If you make audio software or sounds, you can also apply to sell your products in Muse Hub.
