Skrillex to host own stage at Lollapalooza Chicago
Bass behemoth Skrillex is to take over the famed Perry’s stage at Lollapalooza this year, alongside a plethora of his DJ peers.
Playing at the festival for the first time in over ten years, Skrillex is to play upon and host his own stage at Lollapalooza this year. Due to take place at the start of August, the famous Chicago festival is to invite the nine-time Grammy Award winner to the Perry’s Stage alongside some of his friends on the Saturday. In doing so, the stage has been unofficially named ‘Sonny’s’ as he has a curated a line up that is simply not to be missed. Skrillex last played at the festival back on 2014, shortly after the release of his acclaimed album ‘Recess’ and has not played in Chicago since 2016.
Alongside those playing alongside the OWSLA frontman are the likes of Nia Archives, Four Tet, Dylan Brady, 2hollis, and Kenny Beats. They will play among a few others across the course of 10 hours on 3rd August as part of a jam-packed day at the festival which also sees performances from Future and The Killers on that day alone. You can see the timetable below.
As always, we are sure that Sonny will bring fresh ideas to the table with Skrillex IDs aplenty as he returns to Lollapalooza next month. Make sure you are in attendance – some tickets for the event are still available for purchase here.
